Charleston, South Carolina

The first stop for the HM and me, after we arrived at Charleston,  was a place you might expect, seeing as how we were visiting there:

Charleston Visitor Center.

It was this stop that led us to our next stop:

America's First Museum: The Charleston Museum

It was the first time we had heard of America's First Museum.  Thus, obviously, it was our first stop at America's First Museum.  It's the first time, in fact, Viewer Dear, that I'm showing you artifacts from America's First Museum.  (I could think of many other "firsts" to enumerate regarding this museum, but first I'm going to quit this list and go on).

We saw lots of items that one might expect to see in the most antique museum in the country; you know, ancient things.

There were lots and lots of other things that didn't seem all that old, but it was for certain they'd been around for a very long time.  (Noah's wife may have complained?)

Viewer/Reader Dear, the most frustrating aspect of this museum was the fact that I simply couldn't look at every exhibit thoroughly*, read every descriptive sign, take photos of every article (contingent upon the amount of patience possessed by the HM, and length of time we both wished to spend indoors and in Charleston, South Carolina!)  What it all boils down to is that you, Viewer Dear, get only a small glimpse of this museum, though it was  quite fascinating and I could have easily exhausted your supply of interest with excessive photos alone, not to mention words.

HM and I moved on to another museum:

(to be continued...)

*So expansive was the focus, covering so many eras of time.
